Petite Romaine combines the best qualities of iceberg and romaine. It has a crunch like no other and a sweeter flavor compared to other lettuces. It’s leaf shape and heat tolerance allow this product to be used for just about any dish - wraps, burgers, tacos, salads, dips, grilling, and more. Petite Romaine is an excellent source of dietary fiber, vitamins A, C, K, thiamin, folate, and more.

Our conventional Petite Romaine is grown year-round. We offer this product packed in a 1ct bag, 2ct bag, 5ct bag and naked in a 24ct and 48ct pack.

shopping

When choosing Petite Romaine lettuce, look for bright green, crisp leaves. Avoid heads with pink ribs, wilted leaves, or dark green, mushy areas.

storing

Store your lettuce unwashed in the original package or rinse the leaves thoroughly, allow to dry, and refrigerate in a lightly sealed bag.

preparing

The lettuce can be chopped, leaves left whole and torn off, or torn into pieces. To chop, start with the top of the head and work towards the butt. To use whole leaves, gently pull back on each leaf until it breaks from the butt. Rinse the product under cold water and pat dry or put in a salad spinner.
